Finally took Vihaan to cincinnati zoo this sunday. He had a lot of fun, after we came back when I asked him about the trip, he repeated all names  almost all the animals he saw, I think he will remember it for a long time.

Next week I will take him to the museum center  . Heard a ton of positive reviews about the chidrens area there. If he likes it I might take yearly membership

hi there! your son is immensely cute.pl tell me,how did you find his name ?whats the meaning? are there any references of his name in mythology or history?any interesting people who had the same name?

2. goutham - May 30, 2007

I wanted his name to start with a ‘V’ after my father’s name, I started looking for boy names with a ‘V’ and liked Vihaan.

Vihaan is a Sanskrit word which means ‘early morning light’ also used for terms like morning/new beginning/dawn.

hi!
this is Vikram from Indore. my son is now 2yrs old. i named him Vihaan.
basically vihaan originates from Bhojpuri, and in bhojpuri there is no word like “V”, even my name is pronounced as Bikram. so originally it is bihaan, now it is being used in hindi as Vihaan

regards

HI.
Its a rare name – thanks Vikram for the origin. I had also named my 2 yr old son Vihaan, since I liked the meaning of the word. But could not verify if this was a Hindi word, since no one could confirm the same.

my grandson is named vihaan. He was born on 10th December 2008 in Vienna,Virginia. I think it is a great name for it conveys a lot-a new era,a new begining early dawn etc. etc..

Hi Goutham,

I liked the name Vihaan, a lot…I want to give this name to my new born son here in USA. Did you get any comments on this name? Do the kids in school confuse this name with Viaan, Vivian?

Himanshu Narang - November 11, 2011

Hey Gautham, just read your post buddy! I named my son Vihaan last month itself when he turned two weeks old on Diwali. Since its still very rare, whoever hears it the first time likes it. The most positive point is that it has a very thoughtful meaning – beginning of a new era or dawn – light has begun to spread. I couldnt have thought of a better name for my son! Just wanted to share my thoughts

Cheers!!
